"A Very Happy Gift"

 

 

A little while ago..

We received a small parcel for Inafune at the comcept office. It was a small but a pretty heavy package.

 

Inafune opened the small package and found a letter inside.
The letter was written in English, on a paper from a hotel in Tokyo.

The letter was sent by a fan, and it talked about how grateful he was to Inafune for creating great games that made his childhood memories so wonderful.

 

He said that he created a special crystal gift for Inafune to express his gratitude for all of his favorite works made by  Inafune in the past. He had hoped to meet Inafune in person at the Tokyo Game Show 2012, but he couldn’t find Inafune on the show floor, so he decided to send the gift to comcept.

 

He also said that he was looking forward to seeing more of Inafune’s works in the future.

 

The wonderful gift was sent by a fan from Kuwait.

After reading the letter, Inafune and all of us from comcept were so moved by this heartwarming message.

 

Thinking about how this very thoughtful friend from a faraway country created this special gift for Inafune, and brought this gift all the way to Japan, and also for the fact that he carried the heavy gift around TGS for days in hopes to hand it to Inafune was very touching.

 

And even after TGS, the fact that he went through the trouble of writing the letter and sending the package to comcept, was more than just thoughtfulness. It made all of us feel very happy :-)

 

We wanted to reply right away, but the return address on the package was the address of the hotel in Tokyo that he was staying in.

 

So today, I would like to send Inafune’s warm regards and “Thank You” to Saleh from Kuwait.  

 

We don’t proactively talk about Inafune’s former projects after he left his former company, but the truth is that we still receive many letters and messages from friends and fans from all over the world and we are very fortunate and lucky. 

 

Inafune is very grateful for all of these actions and messages expressed to him, and he is always empowered by all of you.

I, as the person who is responsible to speak on behalf of Inafune, feel responsible to let you all know that all of your warmth, love, thoughts, power, and kindness do reach Inafune and that he is encouraged by many of your actions.

 

That is why I decided to share this certain  episode with you today.

 

Inafune himself, is always truly grateful for having been able to work on such wonderful projects in his past career.

 

He talks about how lucky he is for having such wonderful fans who always support him no matter where he goes, and appreciates the many accomplishments he had personally achieved in the past as an individual.

 

And he talks about how he is extremely privileged to have built his career at such a great company that taught him so much. I personally admire his appreciation, respect and love for Capcom.

 

Inafune and his new company, comcept will continue to work with awesome new partners to create new awesome games moving forward, so we hope you stay tuned!
