          "Boiling OSSAN Eggs!"

We, Comcept, have just launched a title called “OSSAN TAMAGO (boiling OSSAN eggs)” for iPhone. This title is actually our first comcept published title! Yay!

Although our teams excel in creating heavy, hardcore console titles, we wanted to challenge creating for lighter, casual platforms like..well, smartphones!

So let me attempt to explain “OSSAN TAMAGO”.

Well, “OSSAN” means “middle-aged, or somewhat older men” and “TAMAGO” means “eggs”. In this game, you are given a pot, where you can simply boil eggs in.

When you boil the eggs for the advised amount of time, you can then peel off the shell by tapping on the boiled egg shown on the touchscreen. When you peel off the shell, an OSSAN TAMAGO will appear!

Every time you peel an egg, you will get a different OSSAN TAMAGO…or not. But the purpose is to collect as many different OSSAN TAMAGO as you can, to complete your pot.

It is as simple and weird as that! Lol

Despite the weirdness, the OSSAN TAMAGO title has been very well received in Japan, since it’s debut in mid-April.

It is not a pretty game at all, but it looks like it is especially well received by women and children, and it has been ranked top in the “FAMILY” category in APP store.

Maybe because the characters are created by our artist girl!

When you look at the profiles of the different OSSAN TAMAGO, you may learn that a certain OSSAN is related to another OSSAN!?

That would definitely be another way to enjoy collecting your OSSAN TAMAGO!

The title is currently only available in Japanese, but hopefully, you can enjoy it soon!
